Onolimbu area/Nias

This photo by Rick Cameron shows two big ground fissures, running right alongside a traditional house in the area of Onolimbu, Nias.

These fissures look to be the result of lateral spreading, created by liquefaction.

Note the giant bamboo foundation it is built upon.

Great example of why bamboo is so excellent!
